I keep reading and hearing more about Jay-Z's six hour rap for the "Picasso Baby" video in Chelsea's Pace Gallery. I don't know what it is but something about his Marina Abramovic inspired performance rubs me the wrong way. It could be that everyone present was instructed to "make a huge fuss when Jay-Z entered," or that he apparently recited "I'm the modern-day Picasso" in the face of Picasso's granddaughter. Call me negative but I'd say his latest stint is pretty pretentious and overreaching in terms of him trying to connect with the modern art world.

Oh...did I mention he also rapped to Abramovic herself?

Do less man.
